The C02 detector is located below the kitchen island behind the barstools. If you hear an intermittant chirping sound check to if this is the source.

This is a close-up view of the C02 detector.

There is a battery indicator in the bottom right of the display. This picture shows the battery indicator showing a fully charged battery. A low battery indicator will show only one or two bars at the bottom.

If the C02 detector is chirping and the indicator shows a low battery, gently pull on the tab at the lower right to expose the battery compartment. There are replacement batteries in the bottom kitchen drawer to the left of the sink. Make sure to replace the battery according to the +/- indicators on the detector battery housing.

NOTE: After replacing the battery the detector will go through a full test cycle including sustained, loud shrieking and the panel lighting up with all danger messages. This is normal and will subside after a few moments. For peace of mind you can press the “Peak Level” button aterwards to show that there have been no elevated levels detected.
